Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value My Signature Elite ES50 speakers sound awesome. I have them hooked up to a 70W receiver which is plenty of juice for these speakers. The bass is just enough for me. The speakers look great in my room. I think these speakers are excellent value for the money. In my opinion you could pay much more and get negligible improvement.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Elegantly designed, impressive sound! I just purchased these with the ES35 Center channel to replace my Jensen bookshelf speakers (nearly 20 years old). Firstly these compact looking speakers just look fabulous and sleek (one of the positives, as the better half does not like big hulking black oblongs!). Sonically these are light years away from my old units, they deliver authoritative, balanced sound stage with punchy weight for mids and crystal clear dialogue. I would recommend having a subwoofer to get that extra low down oomph, but these generate very good bass. A sound choice for the money!

Questions

Hello. Two questions. Would a Denon AVR-970-H be too many amps (90) for these. Also, what is the compatible upward firing atmos speaker for these?

Hello, This AVR is a great choice for these speakers, and would deliver a good amount of power to the speakers. They are rated for up to 150 watts. Are ES50 speaker feets removable?

Hello, The feet are technically removable but not something we recommend at all as it can cause instability of the tower and cause it to fall over. We do not advise that this is something you do and would recommend that the feet stay on the tower to stabilize it.

Is a white grill available for the white cabinet version?

Too bad a white grill is not available. The grey grill looks awfully close to black on the product web page. It negates choosing a white cabinet, imho.

Are these speaker compatible with the Marantz M-CR612 ?

The Marantz M-CR612 is typically paired with Bookshelf speakers. If not installed in a large room with 70 watts per channel, the Marantz should be up to the task. The Polk Audio ES50 speakers are not difficult to drive, with a sensitivity rating of 89 dB and a recommended minimum of 20 watts per channel.

Do you recommend bi-amping these speakers? I’m want to use these towers in a 5.1 system with the ES30 center and ES10 surrounds and HTS10 sub, and I want to get the best performance of if the ES50 while still matching the performance of everything else.

Hello, room acoustics and connected equipment will play a large role in how much Bi-Amping affects the overall sound. However not necessary; bi-amping has presented positive results. Does the 7.5 width include the feet width or is that just the width of the cabinet and the feet are additional width?
