I am a registered clinical social worker, primarily working with people to address concerns related to anxiety, depression, sex and sexuality, low motivation, anger, and relationship difficulties. I have worked for many years, providing services to diverse LGBTQ+ communities, as well as post-secondary students. I aim to create a therapeutic space that is anti-oppressive, sex/kink-positive, trauma-informed, and values the principles of harm reduction.
In my work, I am both warm and compassionate while also being irreverent and frank when required. I aim to provide a therapeutic space that is supportive, non-judgemental and collaborative. In my practice, I typically draw from a few clinical modalities, particularly DBT, CBT, Narrative, Solution-Focused, and Motivational Interviewing.
Sometimes hopelessness can make us believe that the things we are struggling with can never change or get any better, which in turn can make it that much harder to reach out for help.
