FRENCHTOWN, N.J. — Onset Worldwide's Microduction is a proprietary sanitation system to reduce microbiological counts of Salmonella and E.coli on food ingredients that first launched as a toll processing service in 2017. Validated by third-party laboratories and food science universities to achieve a 5-log reduction on more than 20 products across multiple categories. Microduction is an organic sanitation that does not use heat, steam or liquid chemicals, and preserves the probiotic benefits of the raw food.
The Microduction system is able to process upwards of 50,000 pounds per hour, up from 4,000-8,000 pounds, on a continuous basis and does not change the sensory nor functionality of the product. Validated products include seeds, grains, freeze-dried fruits, proteins, flours and spices. Further updates include a control panel that allows customers to pre-program their product(s) to streamline the process.
Onset is now leasing the systems.
