Description

A virtually unknown species from the section Allium with stems some 50 cm tall. The umbels are tight, 2.5-3 cm balls, consisting of small yellowish-green flowers. Tall stems and green-yellow flowers with purple anthers, are an unusual combination for the genus though this one is more for the Allium enthusiast.

Originally found in Turkey, Cappadocia, near Goreme. Sunny, well drained spot but this new plant is hardly tried as yet.
