Info

Halcampa duodecimcirrata (Sars, 1851)

Halcampa duodecimcirrata is a small sea anemone whose distribution is not complete to date.
SeaLifeBase states the USA and Canada, but also Sweden and the German Baltic Sea the anemone has already been found.

This sea anemone settles preferentially in sandy soils or soils with pebbles, in whose soil it anchors its foot.

As the English name "Twelve-tentacled burrowing anemone" the anemone has exactly 12 tentacles, which are used to catch zooplankton.
Aquaristically, this sea anemone does not play a major role. however, it is quite conceivable to keep it in a Mediterranean tank with lower temperatures.
