Pickfordiateuthis pulchella is a dwarf squid that lives in the Caribbean associated with coral reefs with adjacent seagrass beds (hence the name grass squid).
There are only two indications of the size of the animal:
IUCN Red Lite of endangered species:
The maximum recorded mantle length is 2.2 cm
The American Sea: A Natural History of the Gulf of Mexico: less than 8.5cm long
Different data are also available on the subject of water depth:
SeaLifeBase: 0 - 30 meters
Fisheries Oceanography (Distribution patterns of loliginid squid paralarvae in relation to the oceanographic features off the South Brazil Bight (22°-25°S)): to a depth of 200 metres
