Siphonaria australis Quoy & Gaimard, 1833

This sea slug commonly known as False limpet eats algae.Siphonaria australis can be found in tidal pools,on rocks. Oval, asymmetrical and up to 30 irregular ribs. Shell often encrsted with algae or other animals.

This False limpet grazes on algae on the rocks.It is an air-breathing pulmonate.

Enredmic to NewZealand.
