Philocheras coralliophilus is Generally white, cornea of eyes slightly pigmented; telson and epithelium with a securely defined gray transverse band near, tips dark gray. This coloration is also found on the corals of the crypticon or on the coral rock,

Etymology, word "coralliophilus" is a mixture of Greek "comllium" for "coral" and "philos "for ",love", with reference to the habitat of this new species.

Many species of Philocheras inhabit soft bottoms, but this new species is also found on hard substrates in coral reefs.
