Info

Quick Tip:
If someone googles for "Euphrasia frigida", the search will bring different results, on the one hand the dwarf krill and on the other hand a plant, the Northern Eyebright (Euphrasia frigida Pugsley 1930) will be displayed: http://flora-hessen.senckenberg.de/root/index.php?page_id=110&PHPSESSID=lc3cjvrig7ieqc02rr1jpkm71g7gg2sc

The krill Euphrasia frigida Hansen, 1911, occurs in the ice-cold waters of Antarctica and is eaten by a whole range of fish and mammals (minke whale).

Euphausia frigida belongs to the zooplankton and plays an important role in the food chain, being a special food source of a variety of marine organisms.
Humans must pay more attention to the fact that global warming, which is accompanied by an increase in ocean temperatures and has a lasting negative impact on marine fauna, must be stopped urgently, as it has a lasting negative impact on all living creatures within the food chain, and thus also on humans.
The same applies to further heavy metal poisoning, which ultimately ends up back with humans through the food chain.
