Euclosiana unidentata (De Haan, 1841)
crab from the Leucosiidae family, which are colloquially referred to as ball crabs. The family usually includes small crabs with rounded, almost spherical body. The genus Euclosiana was newly created in 2010 and some older species were postponed to the new genus. This also includes Euclosiana Unidetata.
The outline of the tank of Euclosiana Unideta is similar to that of Euclosiana Obtusifrons, but the neck is a bit narrower and the free edge of the front is thin and in the middle with a very indistinct tooth. The species name "Unideta" is Latin and means "a tooth",
The top is dark bluish gray, with four eye spots that have a purple circumference and a white center.
The scissors are analogous to Euclosiana Obtusifrons, but the palm is defined by two parallel rows of grains along the inner edge. The front and rear edges of the Merus of the Wall Bones are also very indistinctly granulated.
There are currently 11 Euclosiana species described, some of which are very similar, but can be clearly differentiated by the number and arrangement of the eye spots.
Euclosiana Unidentata is the host of the parasitic isopod onkokepon articulatus.
