Paguristes wassi Provenzano, 1961

Paguristes wassi belongs to the left-handed hermit crab family Diogenidae. Their left scissors are usually significantly larger than their right ones. According to WoRMS, the hermit crab with the distinctive blue eyes lives on soft bottoms from shallow water to depths of 100m. sealufebase only gives a depth range of 8 - 37 m.
