Wir pflegen 2 dieser wunderschönen Tiere! Das Verhalten dieser Tiere ist wirklich bemerkenswert. Bei Tageslicht haben sie ihre knallrote Färbung. Bei Dunkelheit werden sie weiß bis durchsichtig.
Sie sind nicht scheu und den ganzen Tag über im Becken unterwegs. Bei uns sind sie mit kleinen Fischen, Sexy Shrimps und Wurdemannis vergesellschaftet. Bisher keinerlei Aggressionen gegen andere Garnelen-Arten feststellbar. Als Puzergarnele würden wir sie auch nicht bezeichnen. Bisher haben sie keine Anstalten gemacht, die Fische zu putzen. Als Futter schnappen sie alles, was sie erwischen können.
