Captive breeding / propagation

The offspring of Plesiops corallicola are possible. Unfortunately, the number of offspring is not large enough to cover the demand of the trade. If you are interested in Plesiops corallicola, please ask your dealer for offspring. If you already own Plesiops corallicola, try breeding yourself. This will help to improve the availability of offspring in the trade and to conserve natural stocks.

Adults are benthic which occur inshore. Relatively common on reef flats, searching under rocks or in crevices for small fishes and crustaceans which serve as food. Common, but hidden in holes by day. They venture out to feed on small invertebrates and fishes at night
