Acanthochitona crinita (Pennant, 1777)

Acanthochitona crinita can be found to the underside of rocks on the lower shore and sublittoral down to 50 m in depth.It is an oval shaped chiton.This chiton has a white v-shaped area in the centre of the valves.

The animals are only about a year old, on average, an exception among the chitons, which are usually several years old
