Emarginula huzardii (Payraudeau, 1826)

Emarginula huzardii is a sea slug belongs to the family Fissurellidae, the keyhole limpets. These limpets have a circular opening at the apical end of the shell, which serves both as an excurrent and anal opening. Emarginula huzardii is a small keyhole limpet and no longer than 1,3 cm.This species has only been found in the Mediterranean Sea and the Adriatic Sea, living on hard substrates.Emarginula huzardi lives from intertidal to 30 m deep where it feeds on algae.
