(Sluiter, 1904)
Clavelina detorta is a stalked tropical sea squirt found on rocky substrates and under overhangs in warm waters.
Although extremely rare, can accidentally enter the aquarium on coral specimens or with fresh live rock.
Those wishing to maintain this sea squirt for somewhat longer periods of time will need to conduct numerous daily feedings of live and or preserved phytoplankton and zooplankton or comparable powdered foods.
Such intensive feeding in the aquarium would pollute the water and thus other species, if at all, a separate aquarium should be used.
Keeping instructions: little light, light current
Targeted imports would not make sense, as Clavelina detorta is difficult to maintain and short-lived.
The sea squirt should remain in the sea.
