Bulla punctulata A. Adams in Sowerby, 1850
Bulla punctulata is a sea slug belonging to the family of Bullidae, the bubble snails or bubble shells. Bubble snails are mostly nocturnal and can be found on shallow, sandy coasts. Bulla snails are herbivores which feed on green algae. They bury themselves in mud when the tide is out.
The shell of Bulla punctulata looks like the one of Bulla ampula, but is smaller,more cylindrical and cream in colour and two to four spiral bands.
