Info

Parma mccullochi Whitley, 1929
Parma mccullochi is endemic to Australia and lives on rocky reefs. It prefers to live at depths of up to 25 meters, which are easily accessible to divers. The extremely different coloration between juvenile and adult fish is interesting.

A large and aggressive damselfish that strongly defends its territory. Juveniles are bright yellow and blue. Adults generally with varying degrees of "blotchy" markings. Larger specimens have a humped forehead, although this is not as steep and the mouth does not protrude as much as in the co-occurring and similar Parma occidentalis. Adults have a dark speckled appearance with a blue border on the edges of the fins.
