Calliaster baccatus Sladen, 1889

The Cobbled starfish has large brick-coloured and orange patches.On the middle of this starfish are granules. The outer edges of arms usually have spines or granules.

Calliaster baccatus can be found in sandy areas in shallow rocky reefs (1-20 m depht).The diet is unknown.

Calliaster baccatus is endemic to South Africa.
