Lachnocapsa spathulata

This species is usually found sporadically, but in some places you can find many in a limited area.

Here in Erissel they grow in large numbers in a restricted area of rocks where they are found in an amazing variety of growth.

This specimens has the appearance of a long life, with signs of old, dead branches, but it is also the only specimen I encountered here full of fruits! They appear like the other leaves, but you distinguish them by the appearance of a leaf more round than flat than the others, or like two leaves glued together – some of which are yellow in the images. This type of fruit is called silicula.

A veritable garden!

Endemic.
