Dan Dierdorf was an actor who had a successful Hollywood career. Dierdorf worked on a variety of projects during his early entertainment career, including "1988 Winter Olympic Games" (ABC, 1987-88), "Life Goes On" (ABC, 1989-1993) and "Road to the Super Bowl '88" (1987-88). He also contributed to "Stuckey's Last Stand" (1980) starring Whit Reichert, "Super Bowl Special XXV" and "The Television Academy Hall of Fame" (Fox, 1989-1990). During these years, he additionally appeared in film, receiving a role in the Tom Cruise box office smash comedic drama "Jerry Maguire" (1996). He also contributed to a variety of television specials, including "Billy Ray Cyrus: A Year on the Road" (ABC, 1994-95) and "The NFL at 75: An All-Star Celebration" (ABC, 1994-95). He also was featured in the TV movie "The Garbage Picking Field Goal Kicking Philadelphia Phenomenon" (ABC, 1997-98). Dierdorf most recently appeared in "Michigan vs. Ohio: The Rivalry" (HBO, 2007-08).
