Jonathan O A complete rip off to Conan the Barbarian and really bad joke and terrible acting and cgi effects Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/25/24 Full Review Audience Member Some okay performances, good art direction, a show-stealing Harvey Fierstein and an okay score can't hide Kull the Conqueror - a.k.a. the second "Not Conan 3" movie after 1985's Red Sonja (though this character actually was taken from the Robert E. Howard stories unlike the She-Devil who was based off of a comic book character who was a composite character from the original pulp tales) - from being an utterly bland, boring heroic fantasy adventure. The action isn't that great, the special effects are lame, the protagonist is a bland Conan substitute, the dialogue is corny and the story is predictable. Since I've never watched Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, I don't really have anything to say about the fact that this is just Hercules: TLJ: The Movie. All in all, what we've learned from this uninteresting fantasy action-adventure is that there's no competing with a classic and all Robert E. Howard adaptations are forever doomed to lurk in the shadows of the 1982 classic Conan the Barbarian. Are you sure it wouldn't've been a better idea to come back for the original version of this movie, Arnie? Rated 2 out of 5 stars 01/23/23 Full Review robert p Again a movie before its time!! The special effects were so-so!! Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review steve d It really wants to be Conan but it can't reach even those low standards. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 03/30/23 Full Review Audience Member Everyone else that posted a bad review of this movie was absolutely tripping balls. This movie was the shit to me when I was young. I would beg my mom to let me watch it over and over on vhs just to watch the pretty cool lore of this world.... granted I was like 5-8 but that doesn't matter 😂 also I'm obsessed with finding the tarot cards from the movie. If they ever decide to release copies...you can bet your ass I'm gonna jump at the chance to buy those! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/27/23 Full Review Audience Member I like the Hercules and Xena series although mainly because of Kevin Todd Smith's Ares and Michael Hurst's Iolaus but this was umm...boring. The old sword and sandal flicks of the 60s with Steve Reeves, Mark Forest and Gordon Scott were better and better acted. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 01/13/23 Full Review Read all reviews Post a rating
