American politician and entrepreneur (1839–1925) involved with mining, banking, and railroads. Partly-printed DS, signed “W. A. Clark,” one page, 10.25 x 6.5, September 7, 1881. Stock certificate for 100 shares in the Moulton Mining Company issued to “Geo. W. Reed.” Signed at the conclusion by Clark as the company’s president and countersigned by a secretary. Handsomely double-matted and framed to an overall size of 17 x 13.25. In fine condition, with expected document wear, unobtrusive cancellation cuts passing through signatures, and Clark’s signature a couple shades light. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
