Gerhard Domagk

German pathologist and bacteriologist (1895–1964) who received the 1939 Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine for his discovery of Sulfonamidochrysoidine, the first commercially available antibiotic. Printed article in German entitled ‘Hippokrates,’ four pages, 8.25 x 11.25, signed and inscribed in German in blue ballpoint. In fine condition, with central vertical and horizontal folds. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. Pre-certified PSA/DNA.
