Indigenous on walls and banks in dry areas.
Quite common in and around Castries.
Saba, St. Kitts, Guadeloupe, St. Lucia,Bahamas, Greater Antilles, Mesoamerica, South America.

Similar to Pteris vittata but the pinnae of P longifolia articulate to the rachis (they can move up and down) and are closer to a right angles to the rachis.
