Description
Pretty clusters of lilac to magenta blooms on tall stems, Primula beesiana is adored by garden pollinators, so much so, it bears the name. Thrives in damp, boggy soil, at the edge of a pond, or beside any source of water, it’s a wonderful choice for adding splashes of vivid colour. Flowers to fill the May gap through till mid-summer.
Primula flowers have a mild, sweet flavour, delicious scattered on top of salads.
Care Tips
In autumn, clear old foliage away. In spring, seedlings may appear around the base of the plant, these can be potted separately and grown on.
