About

SCAPOD is a 501(c)(3) organization established in 2010 by three like-minded anthropology graduate students who wanted to see a greater focus in archaeology outreach and education in South Carolina.

Our vision is for all South Carolinians to know and appreciate their shared cultural heritage and understand its importance to the state, the nation, and the world.
