1. Descriptive-it features the elements of the story includes:

Plot: Conflict Climax, Conclusion
2. Generalization-draw out the main idea of a piece of literary work
3. Theme- significant truth about or insight into life

Form: verbal artistic structuring of ideas
Prose-written in the form of ordinary writing or spoken language
Ex. Short story, myth, essay, news,
Poetry-written in lines or verses that make up stanza
Ex. Lyric Poetry-ode: praise of thing or person
Elegy: personal grief for someone
Sonnet: consists of 14 iambi pentameter lines
Narrative- it tells about a story
Ballad: story of ordinary people
Metrical Romance: adventures knights and lord, chivalric love
Epic: long narrative poetry
Point of View: the one who tells the story
Omniscient- delves into the thoughts of the characters
1ST person – the narrator may be the protagonist, minor character, observer, or writer
3rd person- the narrator can only relate the actions or the behavior character
