DuroLast of Saginaw has new CEO

Duro-Last Roofing has a new CEO after hiring Thomas Saeli to take the reigns of the company.

Saeli is no stranger to the ins and outs of the corporate world. He was recently the CEO of Noble International, Ltd. Previous to that, he was vice president of corporate development for Lear Corporation. His experience involves growing companies through acquisitions, joint ventures and sales increases. Saeli has a master's degree in finance and accounting from Columbia University and a bachelor's degree in economics from Hamilton College.

Originally from New York, Saeli has lived in Michigan since 1988, where he and his wife, Molly, have raised their four children.

"Tom was the unanimous choice for our board of directors," says Jack Burt, chairman of Duro-Last's board. "My father was a classic entrepreneur, and his vision, ambition, and business philosophy brought great success to our company. We are confident that Tom will provide excellent leadership for Duro-Last and the other businesses in the John R. Burt Enterprises family of companies as they grow and strengthen their positions in the marketplace."

In addition to Duro-Last, Saeli will oversee the operations of sister companies Plastatech Engineering, Oscoda Plastics, TIP-TOP Screw Manufacturing, Energy Solutions Insulation and JRB Personnel.

Duro-Last Roofing's corporate headquarters and a manufacturing facility are in Saginaw, Michigan.
