Alonsoa warscewiczii
Native to Chile, mask flower was introduced into gardens in 1858. Mask flower 'Starlets' has vermillion red and apricot-hued flowers blooming with abandon all summer and fall, especially where summer heat is mild. They add their sparks of vivid and soft colors on whimsical sprays of open-faced flowers studded along curving to upright stems.

Mask flower 'Starletts' adds brilliant splashes of color to garden edges and containers. A cool-season flower, it blooms in summer and fall in moderate summer areas; if bloom flags, trim and top-dress with compost mid-season, to ensure blooms until frost.
