Uta Oesterheld-Petry is a German painter and printmaker who has exhibited her compositions in numerous solo and group events throughout Germany and in Hungary. She describes the themes in her artistic engagement as being inspired by areas of tension between proximity and distance, familiarity and foreignness, as well as the grown and the constructed. Oesterheld-Petry is fascinated by the external appearance of the world, while also paying attention to inner worlds. She tries to merge both in her work.
