Utah Jazz Rank: Tony Bradley ranked as the 15th most valuable player on the roster

Will the young, long-term prospect pan out as hoped? Who will be ranked 14th?

The other Utah Jazz rookie from last year has been ranked the 15th most valuable player on the roster. Tony Bradley was the 28th pick in last year’s draft, and it was known at the time that he was a raw prospect.

Bradley spent most of is time with the SLC Stars this year. He put up pretty good numbers, averaging a double-double with 15.4 points, 10 rebounds, adding 1.3 blocks as well. He was very efficient and effective around the rim, with a .611 TS% during his 24 games with the Stars.

You may have missed this over the summer, but the 6’10” center from University of North Carolina is actually 6’11.5” now, and his wingspan grew from 7’5” to 7”6! This length can only help as he continues developing his NBA game. He looked improved in the Jazz Summer League this year, averaging 14.7 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 2 blocks in 3 games.

His game may not jump off the screen, but I’m still hopeful that he can be a very effective backup center in a year or 2. His length makes him an elite rebounder, and his defensive instincts have improved dramatically. I believe the patience will pay off for Dennis Lindsey and crew.
