  2. Biography • Frank Stronach was born in Kleinsemmering, Styria, Austria • He was born on September 6th,1932 • He had Working-Class Parents • His childhood was marked with War and economic depression • At 14 years old, Stronach left school to become an apprentice as a tool and die maker

  3. Major Contribution • Stronach’s major contribution to Canadian business is the company he founded: Magna International Inc. • Magna is Canada’s largest Automobile parts company

  4. Magna’s Beginning • 1959- Magna gets it’s first auto parts order from General Motors

  5. Magna’s Beginning • 1969- Multimatic merged with Magna Electronics Corporation Limited • Annual Sales: $4.5 million

  6. Magna: Now • In Europe, Magna Steyr builds a number of luxury cars Peugeot RCZ

  7. Frank Stronach’s Future • Frank Stronach gave up control of Magna in 2010 • He serves now as a Chairman of the Board • He is also now the Head the Electric Car division of the company
