- 2. Policy Changes 2012 From Obama Administration, through US Department of Education – Financial Aid Programs Lifetime limits on Pell grant from 9 years to 6 years Other changes
- 3. Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) Each institution defines a SAP policy within USDOE guidelines KCTCS: GPA 2.0 or higher Completion rate of 67% of all credits attempted Maximum Time Frame 150% of credits in program Pace Progression – must meet these standards and be within the Maximum Time Frame by graduation

Maximum Time Frame 90 semester hours for a 60 hour degree (Associate) 180 semester hours for a 120 hour degree (Bachelor) “Excess attempted hours” include Developmental/remedial Drop, withdrawal, audit, repeated Excess electives that don’t count anywhere in the degree audit Credits that transferred are included in this analysis
