Alien Life Search
Hale 1
Support For Alien Life Search "Alone" Is defined as "separate, apart, or isolated from others"
("Alone"). Individuals can be alone, but the Earth is a little less clear. Whether the Earth is alone in
having the ability to sustain life or if there is more out there in the vast darkness of space is a huge
mystery. The possibility of life beyond the green planet is highly debated. The debate is held within
scientific communities as well as the public. However mathematically, existence on Earth being the
only source of life in the universe is incredibly slim. Organizations such as SETI (Search for
Extraterrestrial Intelligence) use math to try to figure out the amount of potential life in the universe
with the Drake Equation (Drake). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Scientists have been baffled by the existence of life on Earth where conditions have been thought to
be uninhabitable. The existence of these extremophile species, organisms living in conditions
thought to be unable to sustain life, on earth gives a boost to the possibility of outside life. Science
also does not have a full grasp on exactly what conditions are necessary to cause life to bloom
(McAlpine). Just because life is thought to only be able to thrive in certain conditions on Earth, does
not mean extraterrestrial life is bound by the same rules, especially if terrestrial species are known
to occasionally break the rules. Discovery of life existing away from planet Earth that does not meet
the preceded notions of what life must be like would lead scientists to better understand how life
functions and performs under countless situations and conditions. Space itself supports this as
"we've discovered things such as oceans in places we thought they couldn't exist" (Drake). Oceans
on earth are home to millions of species and are hubs for aforementioned extremophile species,
most of which remain unknown to modern science. Since oceans on Earth are teeming with
mysterious undiscovered life, there is no telling what awaits at the bottom of deep space oceans. If
scientists can understand how species may be able to thrive in previously thought to be unlivable
conditions, scientists can use those discoveries to help humanity explore areas that would otherwise
be perilous. Or perhaps, scientists could potentially use understandings of extraterrestrial life to help
humanity form a second home among the

Aubrey Drake's Life Changing Experiences
Aubrey Drake Graham was born in Toronto, Ontario to the parents of Sandi Graham and Dennis
Graham. Drake's father is from Memphis, Tennessee, and Drake's mother is a white Jewish
Canadian. His parents divorced when he was only five years old. Looking back on his early life,
Drake had lived two different lives because of his parents' separation; he lived in a very upper–class
part of Toronto, and, when in Memphis, was told he was "the furthest thing from hood." He
witnessed many life–changing experiences because of the shocking event.
Drake's second album, Take Care, was announced on November 17, 2010. It was scheduled to be
released on October 24, 2011, but it was later delayed to November 15, 2011. In late January 2011,

Drake Graham Research Paper
Aubrey Drake Graham, or as most of you may know him as, just Drake, had a very interesting
childhood and early life. He was born in Toronto, Canada on October 24th, 1986. Drake had grown
up with music always around and in his life, and it just naturally became a part of his life throughout
his childhood all the way to now, present day. According to biography.com, Dennis Graham, or
Drake's dad, was actually a drummer for Jerry Lee Lewis, a very popular and famous rock star,
throughout the 1900's, and Sandi Graham, his mother, also came from a very "musical" family as
well, which had played a huge role to Drake's musical background and success. Dennis is an
African–American Catholic, and Sandi is a white Canadian Jew. This makes Drake a very unique
individual, because he is one of the only black Jewish–Canadian ... Show more content on

Many may believe that Drake was and is only famous for his music and song writing, when in
reality, that is actually false. According to billboard.com, Drake initially gained fame or popularity
as an actor, for the T.V show Degrassi: The Next Generation, as he had played the role of Jimmy
Brooks in the show. Acting really wasn't quite getting the job done for Drake, and he stepped down
from being an actor and later stepped out as a rapper and singer. Drake's singing career had first
started in 2006, when he released his first official mixtape, Room for Improvement. At the start, in
2006 and 2007, when he released his second mixtape, he wasn't doing so hot and he didn't even
have a reliable or steady source of money coming in. It wasn't until 2008 until Drake's future career
truly kicked off, and had started being one of the most successful of its time. During early 2008,
Drake had received a call from Lil Wayne, another famous and widely popular rapper, who had
asked Drake to join him on his tour. Ever since this call from Lil Wayne, Drake's career had truly

The Pros And Cons Of Extraterrestrial Life
One of the most prominent and controversial topics related to astronomy is whether or not there is
life outside of our planet. This isn't necessary an issue, but rather a question that has confounded me
my whole life and what initially inspired me to take this class. This question has driven people to
question our place in the universe all throughout history, and as best said by Neil deGrasse Tyson,
"The time–honored question: "What is our place in the universe" might just be genetically encoded
in our species" (Tyson, 2003). Personally, I think it is ignorant to assume we are the only living
intelligent life in our universe due to its vastness and endless possibilities; however, research hasn't
proven much yet.
To begin, I want to first define extraterrestrial life, as there are many definitions and part of what
contributes to extraterrestrial life controversy. According to Nola Taylor Redd in the article SETI &
The Search for Intelligent Life, extraterrestrial life can roughly be categorized into two groups: the
first category is life itself, which includes microorganisms and other simple forms, and the second
group includes intelligent life. Intelligent life can simply be defined as life forms that originates
anywhere outside of Earth; however, this definition still feels a little broad and doesn't exactly
provide a clear idea of intelligent extraterrestrial life. In the article Extraterrestrial Intelligence:
Hypothetical Life Form, Seth Shostak defines extraterrestrial

Born on 1986, Aubrey Drake Graham was born in Toronto, Ontario. Aubrey began attending Forest

dropping out of high school although years later he graduated. At the age of fifteen, Aubrey's agent
found him an acting job on the new hit series Degrassi: The Next Generation, as a character named
Jimmy Brooks. By this point many might recognize Aubrey Drake Graham as the famous and

coming in was off of Canadian TV, which isn't that much money when you break it down. A season
of Canadian television is under a teacher's salary, I'll tell you that much" –Drake (drakedaily.com).
Ending his time on Degrassi in 2009, Drake appeared in a total of 138 episodes that aired. After
receiving small parts in some movies including Conviction, Ice Age: Continental Drift and Charlie
Bernett, Drake then decided to follow his heart and pursue his musical career. On February 13, 2009
Drake released his third mixtape called So Far Gone that is said to be his introduction into the music
industry. His two most famous songs on the mixtape were Best I Ever Had and Successful. On June
29, 2009 it was confirmed that Drake had signed a record deal with Young Money Entertainment.
While preforming the song Best I Ever Had in Camden, New Jersey alongside Lil Wayne, Drake
with a prior injured knee took a nasty spill on stage. He tore a ligament in his knee and went on the

The Effect Of Speed Pressure On Working Memory During...
Abstract
This study examined the effects of speed pressure on working memory during mental arithmetic
tasks. 392 undergraduate students' working memory capacities were measured and participants were
divided into high and low working memory groups. They were then randomly assigned into the fast
or slow condition and tested with the critical stimuli compromised of addition equations. The
findings showed that fast conditions result in higher error rates than the slow conditions. The speed
pressure also caused high working memory individuals to shift from using rule based processing to
associative processing whereas low working memory individuals used associative processing in
both conditions. However, the study found that both groups show ... Show more content on

Previous studies (Beilock, 2008; Beilock, Kulp, Hot, & Carr, 2004; Beilock & Carr, 2005; Gimmig
et al., 2006; Beilock & DeCaro, 2007) have examined 'choking under pressure' and concluded that it
occurs for those with high working memory (HWM) capacities whereas low working memory
(LWM) individuals were not affected. Although this finding has been common amongst researchers,
each have examined different factors contributing towards pressure induced failure, in an attempt to
explain the phenomena and most accurately coincide with real life situations.
According to Beilock et al., (2004), explicit monitoring and the Distraction Theory are reasons as to
why skills may fail under pressure. Explicit monitoring, or self–focus, causes the disruption of
automatic processes as individuals force conscious control over the task, causing poorer
performance despite the extra effort and attention (Beilock et al., 2004). In contrast, the Distraction
Theory claims that pressures fill the WM with worries and concerns over performance and task
content which in consequence competes with the resources which are normally utilised for
execution (Beilock et al., 2004). To date, most researchers have provided evidence in support for
explicit monitoring and its effects of choking under pressure whilst the Distraction Theory has not

Nothing Was the Same: The Life after Stardom
History of hip–hop has rapidly advanced the last ten years, with albums and songs morphing more
into different genres. Individuals who push the boundaries in music will always prevail more than
other individuals in the industry. Aubrey Graham is a perfect description of pushing boundaries in
the industry by pushing the darker sonics in hip–hop and blending singing with rapping. Nothing
Was the Same is Aubrey Drake Graham's third studio album installment, and was released
September 24th, 2016. Many never really understand the amplitude and the craft of these individual
tracks scaled with multiple layered vocals, samples and progression keys. Nothing Was the Same is
the perfect cohesion of rap and singing, and foster the music we here today. Executive producer and
mixing engineer Noah Shebib provided the many sonics and blends in tempo to craft a perfectly
done hip–hop album. This essay will breakdown the many samples and elements of music used in
the album.
Wu–tang Clan Forever brought a chilling and iconic rap that solidified Aubrey Graham's perfection
of blending rap and hip–hop. "What made me think about the game, girl and how I switched it up

Song Analysis Of 'Started From The Bottom'
Drake adopts the classic story of a rapper who "started from the bottom" and tries to tell people not
to make up a life story for him that isn't consistent with actual events. As he commented of its
concept: From here, it can tell that Drake is a genuine and humble person who keeps it real with his
songs.
The purpose of the song is clear from its first lines, as lyrics begin with the simple and
straightforward hook that repeats for two lines four times:
In here, Drake is clearly saying that he started from the same place that every rapper was from, as
did with his whole crew. In combination with the piano–driven beats, the song has a sense of
hypnotic mixture and effect that can only be emphasized by the fact the each portion of the song ...

It is the song I love for many years. Musically, the song has its own simplicity that makes it unique.
It makes use of "the simple instrumentation from drums and a piano and features a sample of the
ambient piece "Ambessence Piano & Drones 1" by Bruno Sanfilippo and Mathias Grassow"
(Started from the Bottom, Wikipedia). The simplicity of this song perfectly epitomizes the clean and
new direction Drake took throughout his new album "Nothing Was the Same". Lyrically, the song is
full of hooks "Started from the bottom, now we're here. Started from the bottom, now my whole
team fuckin' here" which makes the song sound strong, wistful and catchy. Narratively, Drake does
describe his early life and how his life has changed, and he does address his haters in the best way
possible. All in all, it is an outstanding song, and it also provides us a general message that nobody
is born perfect; everything is started from the bottom and is hard working that makes things

My Favorite Experience
It was a dark and stormy night, and my family and I had dinner reservations at one of the top
restaurants in Toronto. On this day, I woke up feeling a bit tingly and excited, and it wasn't because I
had taken viagra the night before. No, I could tell that something interesting was going to happen
that day – I could just feel it. On a side note, it was father's day that day, and to celebrate this yearly
tradition, we had rented out a VIP–style room at STK, my favourite steak restaurant. The day went
by as any other day, and the moment 6 o' clock hit, my family and I put on our best snobbish attire
and hit the scene. We arrived at STK at 6:35, just on time for our 6:45 reservation and were escorted
to our seating area. Leather–lined walls, contemporary lighting, wood that smelt of rich mahogany,
our private room was a Grade–A shit–hole. Without hesitation, we immediately sat down in our
seats as the waiter handed out menus. The menu consisted of a variety of delicious dead animals
such as duck, cow, and turkey. I, of course, chose the steak. To precede our hearty steaks, we all got
appetizers. I chose asparagus due to it's infamous effects on my pee. Me being a humours fellow, I
love it when my pee can smell equally funny. Nonetheless, our appetizers arrived, they were
delicious and we ordered seconds. As we were engaging in mundane conversation about the usual

Did you know that a very famous rapper came from a broken home? Drake knows exactly what it is
like. Drake is a very talented songwriter. In his songs he writes about his personal life. Drake has a
rare lifestyle from a very early age to now having a busy career. He loves what he does, so he loves

Drake had a lot of challenges thrown at him at a very young age, but he always found a way to turn

Drake Equation Research Paper
The Drake Equation is used to estimate of the rate at which stars are born in the galaxy, the fraction
of stars with planets, and the fraction of those planets on which life could originate, and so on.
Although, by those calculations, there should be about 10,000 civilizations in our galaxy capable of
interstellar communication. So, where are all the aliens? Extraterrestrial intelligence must exist
somewhere in the universe, but we might not be able to communicate with each other because of
complications such as different forms of communication, huge distances between each other, and/or
they don't want to talk back.

It's reasonable to assume that how we're trying to communicate with possible extraterrestrial
intelligence may not be how they communicate, resulting in us believing no one is listening. It is
possible that our means of communication are primitive in comparison, and that our logic may be
vastly different than theirs. For example, if you were to send morse code in the hopes of someone
responding, it's mostly that no one is going to respond, let alone even notice it. Secondly, we may
have not been looking in the right places either. A prime reason for this is that we really don't know
where to look in the first place. We have ideas, but nothing concrete whatsoever. Another reason
may just be that we haven't had enough time yet, as we can only send messages so quickly, in so
many different directions to cover a possible infinite space across the

Are We Spiritual Machine Summary
Charles H. Duell, US commissioner of patents, famously quipped in 1881 that everything that could
be invented already had been. It took until 1908 for the first Model T to roll out of a factory. It is a
provincial viewpoint that has been around since Ecclesiastes (1:9) that we have reached the pinnacle
of our technological game and yet as each new paradigm rolls to a close and our imaginations are
saturated with the reality of the world we begin to question whether or not this is the time that the
future will end. Moore's law may just the most recent paradigm of technological growth, but it

advances can reach before a society collapses on itself and that is why we have seen no evidence of

possibility that an undying intelligent form could exist means that it is likely they would and
probably have colonized the galaxy by going from planet to plant mining resources. Von Neumann

Drake Equation Essay
The Drake Equation
The Drake Equation was devised in 1961 by Dr Frank Drake while employed at the National Radio
Astronomy Observatory in Green Bank, West Virginia (SETIWeb 2). It is designed to estimate the
number of civilisations in the Milky Way that are capable of reaching out and communicating,
therefore giving us an idea of the probability of finding intelligent life within our home galaxy. It
consists of multiple variables, each carefully considering a factor that may play a role in the
existence and development of extra–terrestrial life. Unfortunately, all variables are estimated, as we
don't have exact numbers to use. However, they are our best estimates and should result in a
reasonably accurate answer. The equation is as follows:
N = R* fp ne fl fi fc L
N is defined as the probable number of civilisations in our galaxy that may be capable of
transmitting electromagnetic emissions detectable by us at any given time. This number will lead to
calculating the probability of actually finding intelligent life.
R* is the average rate of formation for suitable stars. A suitable star must have an appropriate
temperature (i.e. not too hot or cold). It is possible to use the average rate for the galaxy. This can

is hard to estimate, as we are assuming that all life needs water, whereas this may not be the case. If
we use our own solar system as a guide, however, we can make an educated guess. We have 4
terrestrial planets, and 1 supports life. We think there may be a very small chance of life being
present on Mars. We can therefore assign this value to be 2. Whether this is a reasonable figure

Accounting Principles and Health Care There are no formal accounting principles that apply to

Understanding the five guiding principles are important in understanding financial information and

Assets are the resources that the organization has and the money generated. Liabilities are resources
that are owed for services, supplies and other things that the organization has acquired. The ideal
goal of any business is for the assets to be greater than the liabilities (Cleverly et. al.). Duality
Duality is a simple mathematical equation or rather, it seems simple. The equation states, "The value
of assets must always equal the combined value of liabilities and residual interest, which we have
called net assets." (Cleverly et. al. pg. 185 para.1) This requires balancing reports about changes in
either side of the equation. In health care, for instance, changes such as buying supplies, receiving
payment for services, or paying the electric bill are all transactions that require balancing the books,
so to speak, so that the equation is still equal. Cost Valuation Cost Valuation can be defined as
choosing the right price for services, supplies and other things of value (Hutton, 2005). Choosing
the right price may be based on the history of what the entity has paid that is reflected by money
measurement or may be based on other measures of what a cost should be (Cleverly et. al.). Market
value is a way to assess a cost value. This seems to be favorite way with many organizations. This

The covers of his published books are bright and colorful and the drawings that are on the covers
were intriguing. After reading A Brilliant Madness, I discovered that Drake's poetry was as beautiful
as his art. Drake writes about life and the relationships between people, society, and emotions,
reflecting the issues he sees in everyday life. He tries to make sense of human emotions and the
experiences that come with them. The poems have themes I could understand and relate to. Drake
uses free verse and enjambment to express raw emotion and make an emotional connection between
the poem and the reader. Drake's style is free verse. His works are filled with enjambment. Both the
style and this literary device work together express raw emotion and make emotional connections.
His poetry seems like he is saying them to you in the moment, due to the lack of a rhyme scheme.
The "in the moment" feeling makes the poem seem more intense and heartfelt. This personal touch
to the poems makes it seem like Drake is saying his poetry directly at the reader, forming an
emotional connection. The enjambment in some poems emphasize different phrases and words that

Astronomer Frank Drake Equation
Astronomer Frank Drake wrote a simple equation designed to summarize the factors that would
determine the number of civilizations we might contact. This equation is now known as the Drake
equation, and in principle it gives us a simple way to calculate the number of civilization capable of
interstellar communication that are currently sharing the Milky Way Galaxy with us.
Number of civilizations: NHP X flife X fciv X fnow
NHP is the number of habitable planets in the galaxy that could potentially hold life. flife is the
fraction of habitable planets that have life. if flife = 1, that would mean all habitable planets have
life, and if flife = 1/1,000,000 then that would mean only one in a million habitable planets actually
have life. so the product of NHP and flife would be equal to the number of life–bearing planets in
the galaxy. fciv is the fraction of the life–bearing planets on which a civilization is capable of
interstellar communication has at some time arisen. for example, fciv = 1/1000 would mean that
such a civilization has existed on 1 out of 1000 planets with life, while the other ... Show more

Earth–sized planets are every common, and early data suggest that such planets are also common in
habitable zones. It seems reasonable to suppose that a significant fraction of all stars have at least
one habitable planet, which means there should be many billions of habitable planets in our galaxy.
The flife presents more difficulty, because we do not yet have any reliable way to estimate the
fraction of habitable planets on which life actually arose. However the rapid appearance of life on
Earth and the fact that laboratory experiments suggest possible ways in which life could have arisen
both make it seem that life should be likely on habitable worlds. in that case, we might expect most
or all habitable planets to also have life, making the fraction of flife close to

Design Of The Guidance And Control Missile System
During the design of the guidance and control missile system, the missile mathematical modeling is
one of the most important steps. In this chapter, the mathematical model of the missile will be
structure using six equations of motion to represent the motion of a body with six degrees of
freedom, three force equations and three moment equations [6, 7]. Definitions of coordinate systems
Two coordinate systems can be defined to describe the movement of missile: the earth–fixed
coordinate system and the body coordinate system. The two coordinate systems are right–handed.
Earth–fixed coordinate system (ECS)
The axes X_E and Y_E point to the directions north and east respectively, and are located on a plane
tangent to the surface of the earth. Consequently, axis Z_E point down the center of the earth,
according to the rule of law. In the literature, this coordinate system is also called the local
coordinate system or northeast–down (NED). Body coordinate system (BCS)
This coordinate system is assumed to be fixed to the flight vehicle center of gravity and moving
there with. The axis X_B advanced forward through the nose, axis Y_B through the wing starboard
(right) and the axis Z_B down. Coordinate transformation system
The transformation T_BE the coordinate system fixed ground the axes of the system coordinates of
the missile body axes is performed by a yaw rotation, pitch, and roll around the longitudinal axis,
lateral, and normal ( vertical), respectively .

Aubrey "Drake" Graham is one of the biggest rapper and television actor, who is best known in
Canada for playing a role as Jimmy Brook, the "wheelchair guy" on Degrassi. He began his
transition into the world of Hip–Hop which is a style of popular music of rap, a subculture of inner–

song that has been popularized and defined as YOLO, an acronym for "you only live once." It
implies that one should enjoy life, even if that means to take risks in life. The video, "The Motto"
illustrates that acquiring loads of cash and material possessions such as good looking low–riders,
fine women, and appealing jewelry are the sources of pleasure and happiness. I agree with Drake's
interpretation of YOLO because in the United States, having money gives an individual access to
anything and although the United States is a free country, money can give freedom and choices.

The Drake Equation: The Search For Extraterrestrial Life
If only human lives in the universe,it's kind of wasting space. Therefore, I definitely believe that
there is some extraterrestrial life in our Milky Way galaxy. It is so hard to find extraterrestrial life.
The earth appeared billions of years ago, but it takes so many years to have humans live on the
earth. To compare the time, human is just living thousands of years. So extraterrestrial life may be
already extinct or not appear yet. According to the Drake Equation, the Drake Equation also called

"Where is everybody" An exploration of the Fermi Paradox
Historical background
Over a 1950 summer lunch at the Los Alamos National Laboratory, the great physicist Enrico Fermi
asked his colleagues an unexpected question – "Don't you ever wonder where everybody is?"
Laughter went around the table as everyone immediately knew that he was talking about
extraterrestrial intelligence [1]. If life arises fairly commonly, as Fermi believed, it follows that there
should be advanced civilizations with the desire to visit and colonize Earth close enough to do so.
However, there is no incontrovertible evidence of aliens on Earth, either now or in the past. This is
called the Fermi Paradox. The lack of observational evidence for extraterrestrial intelligence is
known as the 'Great Silence.'[13] ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It provides a framework, a blueprint for the quantities one must know in order to determine how
many communicative civilizations exist or have existed in a close enough range to receive
communications.
In 1964, Nikolai Kardashev devised a ranking system for the advancement of extraterrestrial
civilizations based upon the magnitude of their energy consumption. If the laws of physics do not
vary throughout the universe, any technologically advanced civilization must use energy. It follows
that more advanced civilizations would consume exponentially more energy. He ranked them into
three categories, Types I–III. Type I civilizations consume much less than the energy output of their
own star. The human race is a young Type I civilization. Type II civilizations have harnessed most
or all the energy output of their own star, and begin to do the same to nearby stars. Type III
civilizations have harnessed the total energy output of their galaxy. [4] The types can be thought of
as planetary, stellar, and galactic civilizations.
In an online paper published in 1998, Robin Hanson proposed the idea of a 'Great Filter.' The fact of
the Great Silence, despite the vast and ancient nature of the universe, may be explained by some
probability barrier existing on the

Nfpnef1fifcfL, where N equals the number of stars in the Milky Way, fp equals the fraction of those
stars having planets, ne equals the number of those planets that can support life, f1 equals the
number of those planets on which life arises, fi equals the fraction of those planets on which

Though we know a lot about radio astronomy, the problem that is stopping the Search for
ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence (better known as SETI) from finding anyone is the vastness of space.
The chance of us pointing our telescopes at the right point in the universe at the right time is
astronomical. The chance of aliens finding us is just as bad. If life on Alpha Centauri, the closest star
to our solar system, found us and sent a message, traveling at the speed of light, we would not
receive it for four and one half years. Then, it would take another four and one half years for our
reply to reach them. The distances make communication while on our home worlds nearly
impossible.
Even if aliens came to Earth, they could have ships that cannot be found with our tracking devices.
If I was an extraterrestrial, and saw the problems on Earth, I would take my ship and leave as soon
as possible. I would never go near a race still killing each other over stupid things. I do not think we
can start our search for extraterrestrial intelligence in earnest until we can live in harmony as
humans.
Most people do not realize what we are sending to outer space. Every second, we send many
television signals everywhere, traveling at the speed of light, and they are strong enough to be found
anywhere in space. We send so many signals, humans are "polluting" outer space. The first
"message" they would receive would be of the 1936 Olympics, since that was the first television
signal strong

The Drake Equation: The Possibility Of Intelligent Life
The thought of humans not being alone in the universe has been a fixture in the scientific
community for a long time. However, it hasn't been truly considered as a viable possibility until
recently. Although it is easy to dismiss as science fiction fantasy, the belief in other intelligent
beings in the universe has become a mainstream opinion in the scientific community. Since the
1960s, many respected people in the science have estimated how likely alien life is. The high
probability of intelligent life is shown in the famous Drake Equation, developed by astronomer
Frank Drake in the 1960s (1). The Equation estimates the number of intelligent, communicating

The high probability of alien life makes it very hard to deny their existence any longer. While some
proponents of some more 'out–there' theories, such as the Ancient Astronaut Theory, may discourage
some from pursuing the subject further, actually discussing the possibility of other life forms similar
to humans is a leap from when scientists were too scared of ridicule to even mention the topic. The
ridicule that is becoming decreasingly common is well–illustrated in the picture below (9). The
picture alludes to the childish nature that some associate with claims of alien life and UFO
sightings. This is achieved through the two characters, which appear to be young. The boy's claims
of a UFO sighting also help the claim as his goal of the sighting was to be famous, which pokes
holes in any perhaps viable claims of UFO sightings. Despite all of the bumps in the road, science
now has the technology and passion for finding life. One question remains in the minds of those
who may doubt it: which is more comforting, the thought that we're alone in the infinite universe or

85 foot telescope1 at nearby stars and hoped for a response (Scoles). There are eight different

We cannot get close enough to observe with our own eyes, so there are different techniques that can
be utilized to garner this information. This part of the equation is characterized as Fp, Fp is the
fraction of stars that actually have planets. One method used in the study of potential solar systems
is the transit method. This is the dimming of a star which can show a planet passing in front, which
in turn proves that a planetary system exists around that star. This example is much like the
experiment we did in class that showed the planets passing around the yellow sphere that was lit up
inside. We used a device that measured the changing light and planet size as it passes around the
sun. Another type of test would be radio velocity, this is performed by shaking the stars to reveal the
gravitational pull of the surrounding planets. A telescope was sent into space in 2009 to look more
closely at the Milky Way in an attempt to find planets and other solar systems. There is a fairly high
chance that a star could have a planet around it and in my opinion, as high as fifty percent or .5.
Like our solar system, others are more likely to have planets that are not habitable. If other solar
systems are anything like ours, they are bound to have many planets. Not all habitable, but planets

Next, the amount of planets in each solar system that can sustain life. After that, the amount of
planets that life actually forms on and, the amount of those planets where life advances to become
intelligent. Then, the amount of intelligent life that will develop technology that creates a detectable
signal of existence. Finally, the amount of time those signals last (Shekhtman). Just because we
cannot currently communicate with intelligent alien life, it still remains ignorant to oppose its
existence. The probability of one in 10 billion trillion proves this well. Another study done by
astronomers Behroozi and Dr. Peeples was conducted without the Drake equation and came to a
much smaller yet still very prominent 92% estimate that humans are not the only lifeforms. This
estimate was derived from the assumed percentage of planet construction and the amount of
hydrogen gas located in the cosmos, which is a needed ingredient for the creation of stars (Spotts).
If that weren't convincing enough, Carl Sagan, an American astronomer, cosmologist, astrophysicist,
astrobiologist, author, science communicator, and generally over qualified man, announced that two

Elite Daily, a modern millennial magazine, goes as far as arguing "ambition is far more important
than talent." The article states an ambitious attitude "can lead anyone to triumph and success,
regardless of what is put before them" (Cawley). And, while a positive attitude is absolutely crucial,
when ambition goes so far as to become an obsession, it becomes harmful. In the case of Willy and
countless others, an ambitious attitude is just the first step to a long process in which success
becomes more of a necessity than a desire. According to Psychology Today, ambition is pervasive
and persistent, and is simply the more public face of greed. In fact, several eastern cultures see
ambition as the face of evil, striving to deprive man of connection to one another (Burton).
Ambition itself is easily corruptible, and often turns into obsession. Rather than excuse the
unhealthy mindsets, goals can be met in a way that fulfills desires without reinforcing negative
behaviors. In the end, ambition is what led Willy into his obsession with success, and is overall
harmful. In conclusion, Willy Loman's mindset towards success damages both his mental state and
his relationship with his family. In doing so, Willy brought on the own end to his family.
Had ambition turned towards aspiration rather than obsession, there might have been a different

Insanity Vs Insanity Research Paper
As we endure each day filled with work, family get–togethers, organizing and planning ahead, there
leaves little time for one to ponder about the universe. I mean, who could possibly fathom the
entirety of 93 billion light years in diameter of outer space in only 24 hours. However, something
more sinister and ominous lurks out in the far distance, or so many believe. With religions dedicated
to this very topic and tinfoil hat–wearing extremists, there could only be one logical subject you're
thinking of: insanity. While some of the believers of this phenomenon are a bit crazy–minded,
insanity is not the topic at all, but rather something most people will reject just at the single mutter
of the key word because it seems too "unrealistic", but in reality, people are just frightened to face
the facts and denial is the only way they can go back to their happy place of roses and unicorns.

Well, how about the fact that multiple planets which have the ability and capacity to allow human
lifeforms to survive and thrive have been discovered? Or, maybe you'd prefer solid evidence of
these alien creatures. How about the hundreds of sightings, artifacts, and DNA proof that aliens
might just live amongst us in the universe? If these arguments still aren't ringing any bells in your
mind, what about the fact that space is incomprehensively huge, and that we've only uncovered
25,000 light years worth of it? If none of these points still aren't popping out at you, I have one last
one that I will talk about in detail, along with the rest of these arguments, that might blow your
mind. What if I were to propose that all of us human beings are in fact aliens ourselves? While all of
this might seem like madness at this moment, I promise after reading what I have to say about alien
life forms existing somewhere in the black void we call space, you might just second guess

Extraterrestrial Life Exist Essay
Imagine that out of the infinite stars and planets in the vast universe, only one solitary planet can
sustain life. Heavily disputed arguments have arisen about whether humans are the sole intelligent
beings in the universe. Scientists continuously search for the answer, but the search has not as yet
yielded positive results. Billions of dollars have been spent in research, causing controversy about
whether scientists should invest in the hunt for extraterrestrial beings. Due to inadequate technology,
humans cannot currently identify whether extraterrestrial life exists, leading to arguments that
scientists should refrain from searching for them. Findings on Earth and other planets suggest
extraterrestrial life could live in outer ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Since odd creatures are found in environments similar to Europa's on Earth, then life can possibly
survive on the moon. Experts cannot rule out life under the ice on Europa, because of the
similarities to the Earth's environment. Therefore, they must carry on researching. Even though
finding similar environments to inhabitable areas on the Earth is helpful, it may hold little
importance when discovering life. Open University's Preston says, "Most of the environments we
used to think were sterile are proving to have life. Every time we think we've found somewhere on
Earth that life can't survive in, we go and find a part of life that can" (Fecht). This could be true on
other planets as well, so scientists do not have to look for planets with similar environments to
Earth. Aliens may have adapted to a different environment than Earth's. Scientists have discovered
living beings in places on Earth which seemed unlivable, so if humans look at planets that seem
uninhabitable they may find life as well. Once again, with this new knowledge, scientists should
proceed in searching for extraterrestrials. Although some evidence suggests that extraterrestrial life
exists in outer space, some evidence proves otherwise. Lack of valid evidence and economic
consequences associated with the search for extraterrestrials discourages scientists to continue with
the investigation. It is possible that if humans ever find aliens, it could be

Optimization and Brand Essay
Answers are hi–lighted yellow.
Company A's nationally advertised brand is Brand X. Contribution to profit with Brand X is $40 per
case.
Company A's re–proportioned formula is sold under a private label Brand Y. Contribution to profit
with Brand Y is $30 per case.
Company A's objective is to maximize the total contribution to profit.
Three constraints limit the number of cases of Brand X and Brand Y that can be produced.
Constraint 1: The available units of nutrient C (n) is 30.
Constraint 2: The available units of flavor additive (f) is 72.
Constraint 3: The available units of color additive (c) is 90.
Material units per case of Brand X and Brand Y:
Product

Nutrient C: ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The other two extreme points must be solved using both line equations simultaneously: Of the five
extreme points, one point will provide the maximum profit contribution.
Solving for the extreme point where the color and nutrient lines intersect subtract the two equations:
1) 6X + 15Y = 90 Multiply this equation by 2 to eliminate the X variable
4X + 4Y = 30 Multiply this equation by 3 to eliminate the X variable
2) 12X + 30Y = 180
12X + 12Y = 90 Subtract equation two from equation one 18Y = 90 Y = 5 Substituting Y = 5 back
into the first equation
6X + 15(5) = 90 6X + 75 = 90 6X = 15 X = 2.5 Extreme point = (2.5,5)
Solving for the extreme point where the flavor and nutrient lines intersect subtract the two
equatitions:
1) 12X + 6Y = 72 4X + 4Y = 30 Multiply this equation by 3 to eliminate the x variable
2) 12X + 6Y = 72 Subtract equation two from equation one
12x + 12y = 90 –6Y = –18 Y = 3 Substituting Y = 3 back into the first equation
12X + 6(3) = 72
12X + 18 = 72 12X = 54 X = 4.5 Extreme point = (4.5,3)
B. Determine the total contribution to profit if the company produces a combination of cases of
Brand X and Brand Y that lies on the purple objective function (profit line) as it is plotted on "Graph
1".

Drake tuned out his mother in the back of her little black Acura. She was bringing him to another
one of these therapy groups to help with what the doctor called depression. Drake wasn't depressed
in his eyes he just had given up on life. The only thing that mattered to him was the music, he only
left the house for his job, and to go make music with a friend of his 40. As he watched the grey
clouds move through the sky on the ever so horrible Monday, his mother was continually blabbing
away on the phone to a friend.
"Carol, are you already there ?" Sandi said
"No, how is he ?" Carol replied
"Tunning me out with that damn music as usual but when I went through his room this morning I

Nicki had such a bad panic attack she had started to cut off too much oxygen to her brain so she

When she woke up Drake was carrying her panicking trying to find their mothers,
"Shit shit, where are they?" Drake mumbled to himself as he saw the empty chairs in the lobby
"Put m–me down please"Nicki said looking up at him confused
"Wait what no you just passed out" Drake said looking down at her
"It happens all the time put me down, I just had a bad panic attack, lets go get some water" Nicki
said
Drake put her down, she wobbled a bit he tried to guide her but she pushed his hands away and
found the nearest water fountain, and gulped down water.
By the time they had made it back to the lobby their mothers were conversing with the instructor,
they both looked at each other. As the instructor walked away their mothers smiled at them oddly

Alien Life Search

  • 1. Alien Life Search Hale 1 Support For Alien Life Search "Alone" Is defined as "separate, apart, or isolated from others" ("Alone"). Individuals can be alone, but the Earth is a little less clear. Whether the Earth is alone in having the ability to sustain life or if there is more out there in the vast darkness of space is a huge mystery. The possibility of life beyond the green planet is highly debated. The debate is held within scientific communities as well as the public. However mathematically, existence on Earth being the only source of life in the universe is incredibly slim. Organizations such as SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) use math to try to figure out the amount of potential life in the universe with the Drake Equation (Drake). ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Scientists have been baffled by the existence of life on Earth where conditions have been thought to be uninhabitable. The existence of these extremophile species, organisms living in conditions thought to be unable to sustain life, on earth gives a boost to the possibility of outside life. Science also does not have a full grasp on exactly what conditions are necessary to cause life to bloom (McAlpine). Just because life is thought to only be able to thrive in certain conditions on Earth, does not mean extraterrestrial life is bound by the same rules, especially if terrestrial species are known to occasionally break the rules. Discovery of life existing away from planet Earth that does not meet the preceded notions of what life must be like would lead scientists to better understand how life functions and performs under countless situations and conditions. Space itself supports this as "we've discovered things such as oceans in places we thought they couldn't exist" (Drake). Oceans on earth are home to millions of species and are hubs for aforementioned extremophile species, most of which remain unknown to modern science. Since oceans on Earth are teeming with mysterious undiscovered life, there is no telling what awaits at the bottom of deep space oceans. If scientists can understand how species may be able to thrive in previously thought to be unlivable conditions, scientists can use those discoveries to help humanity explore areas that would otherwise be perilous. Or perhaps, scientists could potentially use understandings of extraterrestrial life to help humanity form a second home among the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 2. Aubrey Drake's Life Changing Experiences Aubrey Drake Graham was born in Toronto, Ontario to the parents of Sandi Graham and Dennis Graham. Drake's father is from Memphis, Tennessee, and Drake's mother is a white Jewish Canadian. His parents divorced when he was only five years old. Looking back on his early life, Drake had lived two different lives because of his parents' separation; he lived in a very upper–class part of Toronto, and, when in Memphis, was told he was "the furthest thing from hood." He witnessed many life–changing experiences because of the shocking event. Drake's second album, Take Care, was announced on November 17, 2010. It was scheduled to be released on October 24, 2011, but it was later delayed to November 15, 2011. In late January 2011, Indiewire announced ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Drake Graham Research Paper Aubrey Drake Graham, or as most of you may know him as, just Drake, had a very interesting childhood and early life. He was born in Toronto, Canada on October 24th, 1986. Drake had grown up with music always around and in his life, and it just naturally became a part of his life throughout his childhood all the way to now, present day. According to biography.com, Dennis Graham, or Drake's dad, was actually a drummer for Jerry Lee Lewis, a very popular and famous rock star, throughout the 1900's, and Sandi Graham, his mother, also came from a very "musical" family as well, which had played a huge role to Drake's musical background and success. Dennis is an African–American Catholic, and Sandi is a white Canadian Jew. This makes Drake a very unique individual, because he is one of the only black Jewish–Canadian ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Many may believe that Drake was and is only famous for his music and song writing, when in reality, that is actually false. According to billboard.com, Drake initially gained fame or popularity as an actor, for the T.V show Degrassi: The Next Generation, as he had played the role of Jimmy Brooks in the show. Acting really wasn't quite getting the job done for Drake, and he stepped down from being an actor and later stepped out as a rapper and singer. Drake's singing career had first started in 2006, when he released his first official mixtape, Room for Improvement. At the start, in 2006 and 2007, when he released his second mixtape, he wasn't doing so hot and he didn't even have a reliable or steady source of money coming in. It wasn't until 2008 until Drake's future career truly kicked off, and had started being one of the most successful of its time. During early 2008, Drake had received a call from Lil Wayne, another famous and widely popular rapper, who had asked Drake to join him on his tour. • 4. The Pros And Cons Of Extraterrestrial Life One of the most prominent and controversial topics related to astronomy is whether or not there is life outside of our planet. This isn't necessary an issue, but rather a question that has confounded me my whole life and what initially inspired me to take this class. This question has driven people to question our place in the universe all throughout history, and as best said by Neil deGrasse Tyson, "The time–honored question: "What is our place in the universe" might just be genetically encoded in our species" (Tyson, 2003). Personally, I think it is ignorant to assume we are the only living intelligent life in our universe due to its vastness and endless possibilities; however, research hasn't proven much yet. To begin, I want to first define extraterrestrial life, as there are many definitions and part of what contributes to extraterrestrial life controversy. According to Nola Taylor Redd in the article SETI & The Search for Intelligent Life, extraterrestrial life can roughly be categorized into two groups: the first category is life itself, which includes microorganisms and other simple forms, and the second group includes intelligent life. Intelligent life can simply be defined as life forms that originates anywhere outside of Earth; however, this definition still feels a little broad and doesn't exactly provide a clear idea of intelligent extraterrestrial life. In the article Extraterrestrial Intelligence: Hypothetical Life Form, Seth Shostak defines extraterrestrial ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Abstract This study examined the effects of speed pressure on working memory during mental arithmetic tasks. 392 undergraduate students' working memory capacities were measured and participants were divided into high and low working memory groups. They were then randomly assigned into the fast or slow condition and tested with the critical stimuli compromised of addition equations. The findings showed that fast conditions result in higher error rates than the slow conditions. The speed pressure also caused high working memory individuals to shift from using rule based processing to associative processing whereas low working memory individuals used associative processing in both conditions. Although this finding has been common amongst researchers, each have examined different factors contributing towards pressure induced failure, in an attempt to explain the phenomena and most accurately coincide with real life situations. According to Beilock et al., (2004), explicit monitoring and the Distraction Theory are reasons as to why skills may fail under pressure. Explicit monitoring, or self–focus, causes the disruption of automatic processes as individuals force conscious control over the task, causing poorer performance despite the extra effort and attention (Beilock et al., 2004). In contrast, the Distraction Theory claims that pressures fill the WM with worries and concerns over performance and task content which in consequence competes with the resources which are normally utilised for execution (Beilock et al., 2004). To date, most researchers have provided evidence in support for explicit monitoring and its effects of choking under pressure whilst the Distraction Theory has not been adequately ... • 15. Drake Equation Essay The Drake Equation The Drake Equation was devised in 1961 by Dr Frank Drake while employed at the National Radio Astronomy Observatory in Green Bank, West Virginia (SETIWeb 2). It is designed to estimate the number of civilisations in the Milky Way that are capable of reaching out and communicating, therefore giving us an idea of the probability of finding intelligent life within our home galaxy. It consists of multiple variables, each carefully considering a factor that may play a role in the existence and development of extra–terrestrial life. Unfortunately, all variables are estimated, as we don't have exact numbers to use. However, they are our best estimates and should result in a reasonably accurate answer. The equation is as follows: N = R* fp ne fl fi fc L N is defined as the probable number of civilisations in our galaxy that may be capable of transmitting electromagnetic emissions detectable by us at any given time. This number will lead to calculating the probability of actually finding intelligent life. R* is the average rate of formation for suitable stars. This equation is now known as the Drake equation, and in principle it gives us a simple way to calculate the number of civilization capable of interstellar communication that are currently sharing the Milky Way Galaxy with us. Number of civilizations: NHP X flife X fciv X fnow NHP is the number of habitable planets in the galaxy that could potentially hold life. flife is the fraction of habitable planets that have life. if flife = 1, that would mean all habitable planets have life, and if flife = 1/1,000,000 then that would mean only one in a million habitable planets actually have life. so the product of NHP and flife would be equal to the number of life–bearing planets in the galaxy. fciv is the fraction of the life–bearing planets on which a civilization is capable of interstellar communication has at some time arisen. for example, fciv = 1/1000 would mean that such a civilization has existed on 1 out of 1000 planets with life, while the other ... Definitions of coordinate systems Two coordinate systems can be defined to describe the movement of missile: the earth–fixed coordinate system and the body coordinate system. The two coordinate systems are right–handed. Earth–fixed coordinate system (ECS) The axes X_E and Y_E point to the directions north and east respectively, and are located on a plane tangent to the surface of the earth. Consequently, axis Z_E point down the center of the earth, according to the rule of law. In the literature, this coordinate system is also called the local coordinate system or northeast–down (NED). Body coordinate system (BCS) This coordinate system is assumed to be fixed to the flight vehicle center of gravity and moving there with. The axis X_B advanced forward through the nose, axis Y_B through the wing starboard (right) and the axis Z_B down. Coordinate transformation system The transformation T_BE the coordinate system fixed ground the axes of the system coordinates of the missile body axes is performed by a yaw rotation, pitch, and roll around the longitudinal axis, lateral, and normal ( vertical), respectively . ... He began his transition into the world of Hip–Hop which is a style of popular music of rap, a subculture of inner– youths who are typically devotees of rap music. One of his well–known songs is "The Motto," a song that has been popularized and defined as YOLO, an acronym for "you only live once." It implies that one should enjoy life, even if that means to take risks in life. The video, "The Motto" illustrates that acquiring loads of cash and material possessions such as good looking low–riders, fine women, and appealing jewelry are the sources of pleasure and happiness. I agree with Drake's interpretation of YOLO because in the United States, having money gives an individual access to anything and although the United States is a free country, money can give freedom and choices. "Where is everybody" An exploration of the Fermi Paradox Historical background Over a 1950 summer lunch at the Los Alamos National Laboratory, the great physicist Enrico Fermi asked his colleagues an unexpected question – "Don't you ever wonder where everybody is?" Laughter went around the table as everyone immediately knew that he was talking about extraterrestrial intelligence [1]. If life arises fairly commonly, as Fermi believed, it follows that there should be advanced civilizations with the desire to visit and colonize Earth close enough to do so. However, there is no incontrovertible evidence of aliens on Earth, either now or in the past. This is called the Fermi Paradox. It provides a framework, a blueprint for the quantities one must know in order to determine how many communicative civilizations exist or have existed in a close enough range to receive communications. In 1964, Nikolai Kardashev devised a ranking system for the advancement of extraterrestrial civilizations based upon the magnitude of their energy consumption. If the laws of physics do not vary throughout the universe, any technologically advanced civilization must use energy. It follows that more advanced civilizations would consume exponentially more energy. He ranked them into three categories, Types I–III. Type I civilizations consume much less than the energy output of their own star. The human race is a young Type I civilization. Type II civilizations have harnessed most or all the energy output of their own star, and begin to do the same to nearby stars. Type III civilizations have harnessed the total energy output of their galaxy. [4] The types can be thought of as planetary, stellar, and galactic civilizations. Though we know a lot about radio astronomy, the problem that is stopping the Search for ExtraTerrestrial Intelligence (better known as SETI) from finding anyone is the vastness of space. The chance of us pointing our telescopes at the right point in the universe at the right time is astronomical. The chance of aliens finding us is just as bad. If life on Alpha Centauri, the closest star to our solar system, found us and sent a message, traveling at the speed of light, we would not receive it for four and one half years. Then, it would take another four and one half years for our reply to reach them. The distances make communication while on our home worlds nearly impossible. Even if aliens came to Earth, they could have ships that cannot be found with our tracking devices. If I was an extraterrestrial, and saw the problems on Earth, I would take my ship and leave as soon as possible. I would never go near a race still killing each other over stupid things. I do not think we can start our search for extraterrestrial intelligence in earnest until we can live in harmony as humans. Most people do not realize what we are sending to outer space. Every second, we send many television signals everywhere, traveling at the speed of light, and they are strong enough to be found anywhere in space. While some proponents of some more 'out–there' theories, such as the Ancient Astronaut Theory, may discourage some from pursuing the subject further, actually discussing the possibility of other life forms similar to humans is a leap from when scientists were too scared of ridicule to even mention the topic. The ridicule that is becoming decreasingly common is well–illustrated in the picture below (9). The picture alludes to the childish nature that some associate with claims of alien life and UFO sightings. This is achieved through the two characters, which appear to be young. The boy's claims of a UFO sighting also help the claim as his goal of the sighting was to be famous, which pokes holes in any perhaps viable claims of UFO sightings. The Drake Equation was written in 1961 by Frank Drake soon before he was going to attend and present at the "search for extraterrestrial intelligence" meeting or SETI. Drake pointed an 85 foot telescope1 at nearby stars and hoped for a response (Scoles). There are eight different variables in the Drake Equation. We cannot get close enough to observe with our own eyes, so there are different techniques that can be utilized to garner this information. This part of the equation is characterized as Fp, Fp is the fraction of stars that actually have planets. One method used in the study of potential solar systems is the transit method. This is the dimming of a star which can show a planet passing in front, which in turn proves that a planetary system exists around that star. This example is much like the experiment we did in class that showed the planets passing around the yellow sphere that was lit up inside. We used a device that measured the changing light and planet size as it passes around the sun. Another type of test would be radio velocity, this is performed by shaking the stars to reveal the gravitational pull of the surrounding planets. A telescope was sent into space in 2009 to look more closely at the Milky Way in an attempt to find planets and other solar systems. There is a fairly high chance that a star could have a planet around it and in my opinion, as high as fifty percent or .5. Like our solar system, others are more likely to have planets that are not habitable. If other solar systems are anything like ours, they are bound to have many planets. Just because we cannot currently communicate with intelligent alien life, it still remains ignorant to oppose its existence. The probability of one in 10 billion trillion proves this well. Another study done by astronomers Behroozi and Dr. Peeples was conducted without the Drake equation and came to a much smaller yet still very prominent 92% estimate that humans are not the only lifeforms. This estimate was derived from the assumed percentage of planet construction and the amount of hydrogen gas located in the cosmos, which is a needed ingredient for the creation of stars (Spotts). The article states an ambitious attitude "can lead anyone to triumph and success, regardless of what is put before them" (Cawley). And, while a positive attitude is absolutely crucial, when ambition goes so far as to become an obsession, it becomes harmful. In the case of Willy and countless others, an ambitious attitude is just the first step to a long process in which success becomes more of a necessity than a desire. According to Psychology Today, ambition is pervasive and persistent, and is simply the more public face of greed. In fact, several eastern cultures see ambition as the face of evil, striving to deprive man of connection to one another (Burton). Ambition itself is easily corruptible, and often turns into obsession. Rather than excuse the unhealthy mindsets, goals can be met in a way that fulfills desires without reinforcing negative behaviors. In the end, ambition is what led Willy into his obsession with success, and is overall harmful. In conclusion, Willy Loman's mindset towards success damages both his mental state and his relationship with his family. In doing so, Willy brought on the own end to his family. Had ambition turned towards aspiration rather than obsession, there might have been a different ending to Death of a Salesman. Experts cannot rule out life under the ice on Europa, because of the similarities to the Earth's environment. Therefore, they must carry on researching. Even though finding similar environments to inhabitable areas on the Earth is helpful, it may hold little importance when discovering life. Open University's Preston says, "Most of the environments we used to think were sterile are proving to have life. Every time we think we've found somewhere on Earth that life can't survive in, we go and find a part of life that can" (Fecht). This could be true on other planets as well, so scientists do not have to look for planets with similar environments to Earth. Aliens may have adapted to a different environment than Earth's. Scientists have discovered living beings in places on Earth which seemed unlivable, so if humans look at planets that seem uninhabitable they may find life as well.
