Sporting Kansas City's opponents in the 2013-14 CONCACAF Champions League group stage will be Olimpia and Real Esteli. Get to know a bit about both sides below.
Olimpia
Olimpia are the most successful team in Honduras with 27 league titles and have appeared in edition of the CONCACAF Champions League every season (starting in 2008-09). In last year's tournament, Olimpia finished second in Group 3 with a 1-1-2 record including a 1-1 draw at BBVA Compass Stadium against the Houston Dynamo. Six players from Olimpia were recently selected to the Honduran National Team for upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Jamaica and the United States.

Real Esteli
Real Esteli have won 13 league titles and competed in the CONCACAF Champions League the last two seasons. In the 2012-13 tournament, Real Esteli were 0-3-1 in Group 6 with only one goal scored in four matches. Their best result was a 1-1 draw at home against Group 6 winners UANL. Several players from the club are regularly selected to the Nicaraguan National Team.
