Jamaica Research Project - Country Study Research Templates - Reading Activity

This 30 Page Jamaica Research Project is perfect your upcoming Jamaica Unit, cultural fair, or country study. A two page Jamaica reading passage is included, along with student research templates. All information needed to complete the research can be found in the reading passage - no additional research necessary! Key information about Jamaica is included, including geography, the Jamaican flag, nature, people and culture, and other fun facts. It works well for a whole class activity, or can be used along with a variety of different country research projects (available in my store!) for differentiated instruction.

This engaging package includes the following:

⭐Two Page Jamaica Reading Passage - Two pages of informational text all about Jamaica are included. This is great for student research - no need to pull out the computers or textbooks, as all of the information needed to complete the research project is included in the passages!

⭐Student Research Templates - Two student research templates are included. Students use the templates to record key information they have learned from the reading passages. These make great interactive notebook additions. If you blow the templates up to 11x17, they make great classroom displays!

⭐Giant Jamaica Pennant Project - Students can complete this fun pennant project as an alternative to the research templates. Students use the included reading passages to fill in key information about Jamaica on the pennant templates. Full instructions to complete the pennants is included. These make great bulletin board displays to showcase student learning!

⭐Jamaica Research Report Templates - Several different report templates are included - great for extension activities!

⭐QR Code Cards for Additional Research -Two different QR Code Cards have been included with this resource, in case you would like to have your students do some additional online research. Simply cut out the QR Code Cards, laminate for durability, and share with students. Students can scan the QR Code with their chosen device, and two different websites with student friendly information will pop up.

⭐World Passport Activity - This activity was created to use alongside the different Country Study and Continent Study resources available in my Teachers Pay Teachers store. As students complete each country/continent study, they receive a new stamp for their passport - a different stamp for each place is included in each of my country/continent studies. There is also a blank country/continent map included in the passport, for students to color in the places they have learned about. Finished passports make excellent records of learning, and are a great “souvenir” to take home and share with parents.
