Breaded Fried Pork Chops 

These Breaded Fried Pork Chops are tender and juicy pan-fried chops perfect for family dinners. Breaded Pork Chop or Schnitzel as my husbands family calls it is one of my families favorite dishes.

What is Schnitzel?

Schnitzel is a dish my husband’s family loves. You make them with thin cut boneless pork chops, and pan fry them until golden brown. 

Best Sides to Make with Fried Pork Chops

The best sides to go with breaded pork chops all depend on your personal preference. If you want to go the more southern route, you could serve them with a side of white gravy and mashed potatoes. Yum.

For a more German take, you could serve your Schnitzel with a side of potato cakes. My personal favorite. I have a quick and easy Potato Cake recipe that is perfect to make with leftover mashed potatoes.

What is the Difference in Schnitzel & Breaded Pork Chops?

In my opinion, there is really no difference in Schnitzel and Pork Chops except Pork Chop is wayyyy easier to say. 

Best topping for Breaded Pork Chops?

I like to use Italian flavored bread crumbs, but you can you any flavor of bread crumbs you like. Panko bread crumbs are my families favorite.

How do you cook Breaded Pork Chops?

You can make breaded pork chops in the air fryer, or even in the oven. But I personally like to pan fry them in about 1/2 an inch of oil.

The key to cooking Pork Chops is getting them perfectly done on the inside while keeping the outside golden brown.

Breaded Fried Pork Chops

Breaded Fried Pork Chops

Ingredients

  • 6 Boneless Pork Chops
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 3 Eggs
  • 2 cups Bread Crumbs
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper
  • 2 cups Oil for Frying

Instructions

  • Season Pork Chops with Salt and Pepper.
  • Prep 3 shallow bowls. Add flour, salt and pepper to one bowl, eggs beaten with a tablespoon of water in one bowl, and breadcrumbs in the other.
  • Dip chops in egg wash, then flour, back in egg wash, then in breadcrumbs.
  • Fry pork chops in 1/2 inch of oil until cooked through, and golden brown.
  • Remove from oil, and place on paper towel to drain.
  • Add a sprinkle of salt to each chop while still hot.
