Description:

A 1967 Fuji Rabbit Motor Scooter The Fuji Rabbit was a motor scooter produced in Japan by Fuji Heavy Industries from 1946 until 1968. Although not particularly well known outside of Japan (export began to the USA in 1957), the Fuji Rabbit actually appeared some six months prior to the first Vespa. Stylish and svelte Fuji Rabbit advertising was very much aimed at a female audience; these scooters are not to be underestimated however as they are quick and string as evidenced by one advertisement depicting a Rabbit carrying a Sumo wrestler and as "The Choice of a Gentleman" in others. The Rabbit has earned itself a place in Japanese pop culture as a symbol of nostalgia and is also highly collectable by the 'Scooterati' due to its rarity and technological sophistication.

The desirable example offered is in magnificent condition including the automatic torque converter and rear air ride suspension and completely restored to a very high level using many new old stock parts that are very hard to find. The restoration was far in excess of its estimated asking price. It has been in the current owner's scooter collection for the past 15 years.
