Stubble is nice, hipster/lumberjack beards are pathetic.

I think it gives the face more character.

Women are usually more attracted to fully bearded men because apparently it shows masculinity and stability in raising a family (read this in several places).

Important note: Regularly trimmed beards though, not messy untrimmed ones.

I personally don't like the stubble look, just looks like paint to me.
