Who is Kieron Williamson?

Kieron Williamson first began drawing when he was five after being given a sketchbook during a family holiday to Cornwall in 2008.

He was inspired by the boats and the scenery and as the holiday progressed, he began to add backgrounds, scenery, hills and houses.

When the family returned to their home in Holt, Norfolk, his parents sought the help of local artists to talk to Kieron as his interest in learning artistic techniques progressed.

Unsatisfied with poster paints, he tried out watercolour, acrylics, oils and pastels.

In August 2009, 19 of his paintings made their first public appearance and he became an overnight phenomenon - with his work selling for £14,000.

Three months later, his second exhibition at the Picturecraft Gallery saw another 16 works sold for £17,000 in just 14 minutes.

He's since sold his paintings at annual exhibitions in his hometown - despite offers to exhibit his work worldwide.

He was able to afford his first house at the age of eight, and lives with mum Michelle, dad Keith and big sister Billie-Jo, down the road from his favourite artist Edward Seago's former home in Ludham, Norfolk.

Kieron, who works from his own studio, now has a waiting list of people from around the world who want to buy his work.

His most expensive painting to date sold for £45,000.
