A career spanning nearly four decades with Schlumberger has taken Andrew Gould around the world, from Asia to Europe to the United States.
But when the chairman of the oilfield services giant changes companies to take the helm at BG Group, he will have a completely new focus — Brazil.
Mr Gould will assume the chairmanship of the oil and gas producer when Sir Robert Wilson steps down in May and the company embarks on what it hopes to be a production bonanza from its vast fields in the country.
It expects to be producing 550,000 barrels of oil and gas from its pre-salt fields in Brazil by 2020, supporting its long-term annual production growth
