The actor Ralph Ineson played Dagmer Cleftjaw in Game of Thrones, Amycus Carrow (a death eater) in the last three Harry Potter films and the foul-mouthed “Finchy” in the hit BBC sitcom The Office, starring Ricky Gervais and Martin Freeman.

The 48-year-old, who grew up in Leeds and studied theatre at Lancaster University, lives in southwest London with his wife Ali, their children Luc, 19, and “Boo”, 15, and their two dogs: a great Dane called Grayson, named after the former Leeds United manager Simon Grayson, and a black Labrador called Billy, named after the club’s Billy Bremner.

After graduating, the 6ft 2in Yorkshireman initially worked as a nightclub bouncer in York. He went on to work as a drama teacher and has since carved
