Wire mix: Ziúr

July 2023

The electronic producer shares an exclusive mix in the run up to the release of their new collaboration-focused album Eyeroll

“I have a vision of connecting people and creating something together,” declares Berlin based artist Ziúr, speaking to Miloš Hroch for The Wire 474. “If we’re careful with each other’s needs and embrace our differences, we’re stronger than we could ever be on our own.

“It’s hard,” she continues, “but for me it’s proving that the world could work if we wanted to.”

This ethos is put into practice on Ziúr's upcoming abstract electronic album Eyeroll, which features collaborators on almost every track. Manchester rapper Iceboy Violet and experimental DJ Juliana Huxtable are among the artists included, with improvising noise vocalist Elvin Brandhi appearing several times.

This brand new mix recorded by Ziúr features some of those aforementioned artists, the premiere of her Eyeroll track with Ledef, as well as music by Rắn Cạp Đuôi collective member Lý Trang, contemporary R&B artist Marshall Vincent, Egyptian composer Nancy Mounir, and more.
