Nag Panchami 2022 date: All you need to know about this auspicious day

Nag Panchami is an auspicious and religious festival for Hindus. This year, it falls on Tuesday, August 2. On this day, devotees traditionally worship and pray to Nag Devta. They do so because they believe that this would bring peace and prosperity to their house. The festival is celebrated during the month of Sawan, which is considered to be an auspicious period according to the Hindu calendar.

During Nag Panchami, one of the rituals is the offering of milk by devotees to Nag Devta. This is done to get the blessings of the devta and to seek protection for their families from evil and bad luck.
