Just Play reaching out to children with disability

Tonga Just Play Team had the opportunity to visit the Ofa Tui mo ‘Amanaki Center (OTA) to run fun sport program for children with disability.

The OTA center is under Tonga Red Cross Society and known as the Special School for children with disability in Tonga. Our program was to ensure that these children are really excited to participate in the Just Play Programme.

The program started with a word of welcome by one of the OTA staff, Lineti Vuni and also with an opening prayer.

“It is an honored for us to have you here in our center today. We thank you for including us to your program. We are always excited whenever Lafaele visit us delivering football fun games. Football is an excited game which bring these children laughter and joy,” Lineti said.

The program was lead by the Just Play Master Instructor, Lafaele Moala with the help of our Just Play volunteers and national women football players.

The fun program includes fun activities lead by the Just Play team with a theme: Clean Hand, Healthy Children. We emphaize to these children the important of keeping there hands clean at all time inorder to keep there body healthy.

The fun activities includes Just Play fun activities, jumping castle, spoon race, sack racing and finished of with a Tongan haka (sipitau) in groups and dance competition. Despite the difficulties challenges they faces in life but they still manage to cross the finish line by participating in all the activities.
