Whitbeck-Allgood

Joan Whitbeck and Frank Whitbeck III, both of Tuscaloosa, announce the engagement of their daughter, Meredith Paige Whitbeck, to Michael Conrad Allgood Jr. of Duncanville, son of Mike and Eloise Allgood of Duncanville.

The wedding will be at/s5 p.m. March 24 at the/sJemison-Van De Graaff Mansion in Tuscaloosa.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mary Wade and the late John Wade of Tuscaloosa and Frank Whitbeck Jr. and the late Mary Whitbeck of Northport.

She is a 1999 graduate of Tuscaloosa County High School and attended Shelton State Community College, where she received a degree in nursing. She attends the DCH School of Radiology, where she is pursuing a degree in radiologic technology. She is employed by Med Center South and DCH Health Systems.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Eloise Austin and the late Roy E. Austin and Dora Allgood and the late Alton Allgood, all of Demopolis.

He is a 1996 graduate of Hillcrest High School and attended East Mississippi Community College, where he received a degree in forestry. He attended DCH School of Radiology, where he received a degree in radiologic technology. He is employed by DCH Health Systems.
