Just a few steps from the Adriatic Sea, Atri is one of the most beautiful and traditional towns of the Abruzzo region of Italy, a village with rich history and vibrant, colorful culture. Located in the province of Teramo, Atri is a quiet town of about 10,600 inhabitants, bordering with well-known seaside cities, such as Roseto degli Abruzzi and Silvi Marina.
In this village of pre-Roman origin, past and present blend together in perfect harmony. Located on rolling hills 444 meters above sea level, Atri contains several beautiful monuments within its Roman walls.

Also present is a protected WWF natural reserve, called the “Calanchi d'Atri”. This natural reserve, of about 380 hectares, includes a large variety of plant and animal species specific to the region. Abruzzo is a region full of history, tradition, and beauty: From the incredibly original cuisine to the towering medieval monuments with unique style, from the enchanted villages of the Apennines to the serene beaches of the coast. The great hospitality of its people, seasoned by values and traditions handed down over time, make this region a one-of-a-kind place where fun and joy blend together to create an unforgettable experience. Geographically positioned in the heart of the Italian territory, Atri is an ideal starting point for excursions to major cities as well as to the most beautiful environmental and archaeological sites of the country.
