Gould is to be replaced in the position by current chief operating officer, Paal Kibsgaard, although no explanation was given for the former's exit in today's announcement of the changes.
Gould will continue in the role as chief executive until 1 August and will remain as chairman until April when it is envisaged the board will elect current independent lead director, Tony Isaac, to the position of non-executive chairman.
