Alvarez, a 46-year-old who says that being ran over and gored in the neck by a bull is something he will never forget. “The joy and the excitement of being in the bullring quickly turned into scare, into real fear for my life,” the San Francisco resident told the Associated Press at the regional hospital where he recovered a day after undergoing an urgent 2-hour-long surgery.
